Statement from Rick & Graham
When we (Rick & Graham) resigned in June we allowed 5 weeks for Grimsargh Heating to appoint new licensees, however nothing was done. A week after we actually left they had still not completed the process so we agreed to leave our licences in place for the weekend of the 31stJuly/1st August to give them more time & because we were present we could keep an eye on things as we would be legally liable for any breaches of the licence.
The following week we heard nothing so we contacted the new manager on Tuesday to find out what was happening, we were assured that everything would be sorted by Friday 8th. I called again on Friday lunchtime & was told that they had put the forms in & had been asked to correct some mistakes. We heard nothing more so on the assumption that all was OK we revoked our licences at 4:30 on Friday 8th August. As I was handing in the documentation I was told that the Blowing Wild/Oblivion forms hadn't been accepted as they were wrong, meaning that the premises could not operate.
As a result of this the new management appear to have decided that they no longer require our services - Graham will no longer be DJing at Blowing Wild & Kat Litter will no longer be appearring in Oblivion.
Many thanks to all of you for coming to Blowing Wild's 10th Birthday & our leaving do on 26th July, to say we were amazed at the turnout is an understatement, as you know if you were having trouble getting served because the staff were totally outnumbered.
